As Owner of Grenier and Sons Land Surveying and Mapping, I wanted to introduce myself and let you know a little about me and how the business name "Grenier and Sons" came about.

My name is Andy Grenier and I have been licensed since 2003 as a Land Surveyor in California. Right after graduating high school in 1989, I found a job working at a Civil Engineering company in Riverside, California. I had no idea what I was getting into at the time and had no knowledge about Civil Engineering and Land Surveying. It was there where I met true professionals to whom I am grateful. The owners and employees I met during my tenure were a huge influence on me, some of whom I stay in touch with and hold in high regard and with great respect. They truly showed how a business takes care of their employees. They showed me compassion when times were tough through the early 1990's recession by keeping me on staff even when there was little survey work available. I will never forget the lessons I learned from them, not only as employers and mentors, but as friends. From there, I would find a passion for land surveying on different levels; for survival in the job market as a young man earning a living, but moreso by truly finding land surveying as a profession.  

Grenier and Sons Land Surveying and Mapping began in 2007 with the birth of my second son, Jason. With my first son Luke, already 6 years older than his new brother and starting kindergarten that year, it was time to do something for them that they could be a part of someday. Most business names with the "and sons" portion typically define a family owned business where father and sons all work and do business together. However, I decided I would use the "and sons" portion as a tribute to my boys as their father even though they are obviously not of the age to work with me. If someday they decide they want to be Land Surveyors like me, then they have that option. It is a constant reminder that family comes first.
